Wire Wheels - Threaded Nut
Abra-Metal offers a very extensive line of wire wheel brushes by PFERD / ADVANCE Brush. These wheels are unmounted and threaded for use on angle grinders.
Knot-type brushes are comprised of filaments
twisted together to act as a single unit, providing far more aggressive cutting
action.
Brushes can be ganged or stacked
to obtain greater face width.
Applications Include;
- Weld splatter removal
- Blending tool marks
- Cleaning
- De-burring
- Scale/encrustation removal
Knot Wheels - Standard Twist 
Standard Twist knot wheel brushes come with a threaded nut for easy changing. Loosely twisted knots provide aggressive brushing and a good surface finish. Ideal for heavy duty or severe cleaning requirements. Standard twist knots are twisted for approximately 75% of the length of the knot. They offer faster removal rates than crimped wire wheel brushes, with a more aggressive brushing action.Applications include: weld cleaning, weld spatter removal, scale removal, cleaning, deburring and flash removal.

Knot Wheels - Stringer Bead Twist
Stringer Bead knot wheel brushes are manufactured with tightly twisted knots and narrow face widths. Designed for tough applications, such as cleaning welds between passes when joining pipe. Stringer bead knots are characterized by low flex, high impact brushing. Designed for root and hot pass weld
cleaning in pipe joining applications. Also for
general use where a narrow face & aggressive
brush is desired for controlled, confined surface
contact areas.

Crimped Wire Wheels
Crimped wire wheels brushes are less aggressive than knot wires for lighter-duty applications. Crimped wire is also more flexible and leaves a superior weld finish.
